The Burlington County Sheriff’s Department and the Florence Township Police Department are teaming up to form the Youth Police Academy Class 60 during sessions from 9 a.m. to noon on Oct. 4, Oct. 11 and Oct. 18 at the Florence Township Fraternal Order of Police Lodge Fireman’s Hall at 69 Main St. in Roebling. The academy is for children ages 7-12 and will include a K-9 demonstration, gun safety, police familiarization, cultural diversity, fire safety and more. To register, call 609-265-3788.

A free home security program for seniors age 60 and over is being offered by the Burlington County Sheriff’s Department.
