CentraState to hold a free women’s health event on Oct. 6

CentraState Medical Center is continuing its Live Life Well program series with a free women’s health event on Oct. 6, from 5-8 p.m. at CentraState’s Star and Barry Tobias Ambulatory Campus, 901 W. Main St., Freehold. The event will feature seminars, presented by clinical experts, on how to improve one’s mind, body and spirit.A lecture on popular nutrition trends like juicing and detox diets will sort through which ones are effective and safe and which trends to completely avoid. Participants can also learn practical tips on how to maintain a healthy heart at every age and the importance of a healthy diet and exercise regimen.Topics such as the surprising causes of inflammation in our bodies from air, foods and cosmetics, as well as the latest research proving that positive emotional health is just as important for overall wellness as the foods we eat, will be discussed.

Presenters include a cardiologist, registered dietitians, and an internist/rheumatologist.
