Main Street Theatre to stage ‘The Jungle Book’

The Main Street Theatre Co.’s Kidsworks division will present its production of the “The Jungle Book” at noon and 3 p.m. Oct. 25 and Nov. 1, and 3 p.m. Oct. 26 and Nov. 2, at the Main Street Theatre, Garden Friends Early Learning Center, 3018 Bordentown Ave., Parlin section of Sayreville.

The “participation” show, based on the stories of Rudyard Kipling, will allow audience members to portray silly monkeys, helpful elephants, wolves, reptiles, bees and a tropical storm. The play also contains a message about ecology. All tickets cost $6 for general admission.

A character lunch will be held at 1 p.m. Nov. 2 at the theater. Tickets cost $12 each and include admission to the 3 p.m. performance. For more information or to purchase tickets, see any cast member or email [email protected].
