Dontae Strickland, the Syracuse bound star running back was held to just one touchdown run and 52 total yards rushing.
Strickland also was credited with two key interceptions on defense for the Vikings.
The first quarter started off with a six-yard running score by Campbell followed quickly in the opening period by a 30-yard scoring run from Strickland.
Edison was called for intentional grounding early in the second quarter, and the Vikings were off to a 16-0 lead.
A one-yard running score by Haazig Daniels and a Joseph Kim to Daniels point after pass play narrowed the halftime score to 16-8.
The Vikings woke up and broke the game wide open after halftime on a 20 yard field goal by senior Matt Golden, and big 75 and 10 yard scoring runs by Campbell.
Sophomore quarterback Josh Liao ran the offense for a second straight game, running for 36 yards, while subbing for the injured Amir Johnson.
Liao ended the game scoring with a one-yard run towards the end of the game.
"I was just happy that many of our young players got an opportunity to play in the game," said Head Coach Joe Goerge after the game. "They showed the coaching staff that they knew what they had to do and their practice sessions paid off."
"We really need to step our offense up next week against Piscataway," said Campbell after the contest. "The field tonight was wide open, as our offensive line really opened it up for me to run it in."
"We are ready and will hopefully play a great game next week against Piscataway," said Strickland after the game. "This was a great Red Division game, and I hope that the team can get into a good mindset for the big game next week."
Injured players quarterback Amir Johnson and offensive linesman Sam Bierstein are expected to return for next week’s big match-up.
The Vikings meet Piscataway at the Chiefs home field Friday night at 7 p.m..
A big crowd is expected for the match of the two undefeated teams.
