The Township of Florence will hold its annual Christmas tree lighting event on Friday, Dec. 5 at 7 p.m. at the Florence Township Municipal Complex, 711 Broad St., Florence. Santa and Mrs. Claus will visit and the Florence Township Memorial High School Band will perform holiday tunes. Treats will be provided for the children.

The Florence Township Chapter of Deborah wants members to return sold raffle ticket stubs for the car drawing by Nov. 10 to Deborah, PO Box 254, Roebling. The drawing will take place on Dec. 5. The November meeting date has been changed to Nov. 20 due to the Thanksgiving holiday.
The final VIP casino bus trip to the Tropicana this year will be on Tuesday, Dec. 2. There are a few seats available. The cost is $40, with $30 in coin return and a $5 food voucher.
Deborah is also offering a stocking-stuffer for $15, a weekly drawing for a $100 prize.
The annual Christmas party is set for Thursday, Dec. 11 at the VFW post home on 10th Avenue in Roebling. The cost is $20 and includes a buffet, soft drinks, coffee and dessert.
