Citizenship workshop will take place Dec. 2

Debby Alter, director of immigrant and refugee services at the Jewish Family and Vocational Services of Middlesex County, will hold a free citizenship workshop at 7 p.m. Dec. 2 at the Edison Main Library, 340 Plainfield Ave.

Topics to be discussed include citizen eligibility requirements; where, when and how much it costs to file an application; review of the citizenship application; citizenship test preparation; the citizenship interview; what to do about a lost or delayed application; how to advocate for oneself at the Newark Service Center; immigration questions; and filing petitions for family abroad.
