As many already know, I am retiring at the end of this year. To say that I have been blessed with abundant riches from knowing and working with so many fabulous people and organizations is a vast understatement. The past 26 years have flown by, and I am both humbled by and in awe of the many opportunities I have had.
With the highs and lows, the unpredictability, and the stresses and joys of daily life, there have remained many constants.
One such constant is the tremendous strength of our seniors. You have so freely shared with me your experiences, your celebrations, your inevitable bumps in the road, your hopes and fears, and your abundant knowledge. Thank you for teaching me so many valuable lessons. Each of you has been an inspiration in some way.
I am grateful to my awesome staff for your dedication to the people we serve. Your commitment to our clients has been wonderful to witness and share.
Thanks also to our Howell Township Council for your support, and to the many members of service organizations, businesses and agencies who have abundantly shared your time, talents and generosity. Because of you, we have been able to move mountains.
The kindness and compassion I have observed from the people I have been blessed to serve has been profound. Thanks to each of you for teaching me so much about patience, stamina, goodness, how to live life to the fullest and how to keep going in the toughest of circumstances.
I will be forever grateful for the opportunities I have experienced, for the challenges large and small, for the knowledge I have gained and for the multitude of relationships formed over the years. There are no words strong enough to express my deepest appreciation for all of you. You will always hold a special place in my heart.
To each of you, I wish good health, peaceful days and long lives shared with those you hold dear. Thank you for allowing me into your lives. It has been an honor I will always cherish.
