Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares donates $110,000 to local charities

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares, the philanthropic arm of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in New Jersey and Rockland County, N.Y., has donated $110,000 to 11 local charities following the success of its recent Blue and White Gala, Casino Gala and Casino Night fundraising events.

“It is the continuing mission of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares to support organizations that are doing incredibly vital work to improve the lives of people in our local communities,” said Hal Maxwell, president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in New Jersey and Rockland County, N.Y. Since its inception in 2005, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares has given more than $1 million to charities supporting local communities, along with countless volunteer hours donated by sales associates affiliated with the company.

The Blue and White Gala was held on Sept. 17 at the Rockaway River Country Club in Denville. Guests enjoyed an evening of fun including a wine tasting with Master of Wine Jennifer Simonetti- Bryan, cigar rolling, a silent auction and refreshments. Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares donated $10,000 to each of the following charities earmarked for this event: Eleventh Hour Rescue, which saves dogs and cats from high-kill shelters; POAC, which provides autism training and education; Homeless Solutions, which provides shelter, services, and supportive housing to homeless and lowincome people; and Imagine, a center for coping with loss.

Casino Night was held on Oct. 14 at Addison Park in Aberdeen. Guests enjoyed music featuring “So Watt,” a silent auction, refreshments and games of chance including black jack, craps, roulette, money wheel and poker. Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares donated $10,000 to each of the following charities earmarked for this event: Move for Hunger, which collects unwanted, nonperishable food items from people who are moving and delivers them to local food banks; Make-A-Wish New Jersey, which grants the wishes of children diagnosed with life-threatening medical conditions; and the Wounded Warrior Project, which serves the needs of injured veterans and service members.

The Casino Gala was held on Oct. 16 at the Brownstone in Paterson. Guests enjoyed casino games provided by Tumbling Dice Entertainment, a silent auction and 50/50, a DJ, and refreshments. Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares donated $10,000 to each of the following charities earmarked for this event: the Center for Hope and Safety (formerly Shelter Our Sisters), which assists the vic- tims of domestic violence; United Hospice of Rockland, which provides care for individuals facing serious illnesses and their families; the Closter Animal Welfare Society (CLAWS), which rescues and fosters abandoned and unwanted cats and dogs in the Bergen County area; and the Center for Food Action, which provides emergency food, homeless prevention and utility assistance throughout northern New Jersey.
