“Abstract Still Life” by Stephanie Barbetti Twenty-four local artists will exhibit works in “Classic Subjects: Still Life.” The exhibit, juried by Princeton artist Debra Weier, will run Jan. 16 to April 10 at The Gallery in the South Brunswick Municipal Building. An opening reception will be held 6:30-8 p.m. Jan. 16.
A still life can be humorous or serious, lighthearted or profound. All these aspects are on display in this first of the 2015 series of “Local Artists, Classic Subjects.”

DeVico and Monica Weinschenk, both of Titusville; Tammy DeVoe of Basking Ridge; Pico Reinoso and Leona Seufert, both of Roselle Park; and Theresa Hood of Glen Gardner.
“African Violet in Green” by Pico Reinoso Weier is a book artist, arts educator, author and lecturer who has served on several grants panels for the New Jersey State Council on the Arts. She selected the 32 works to be exhibited from more than 60 submitted.
The Gallery, located in the South Brunswick Municipal Building at 540 Route 522, Monmouth Junction, is open 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. weekdays and evenings when meetings are scheduled.
