Wayne Thomas Wright

Wayne Thomas Wright, 68, of Manchester died suddenly at home on Feb. 1, 2015.

Born in Jersey City, he resided in Metuchen for over 50 years before moving to Manchester. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam War from 1963-1967. He retired from the Metuchen Department of Public Works after 40 years of service.

He was a member of St John’s Church, Lakehurst. Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Joanne Stumpf Wright; brother, William Wright of Phillipsburg; sisters, Margaret Davis of Manahawkin, Diane Baralecki of San Antonio, Fla., and Ann Stopa of Allentown Pa.; brothers-in-law, Joseph Stumpf of Enfield, N.H., and Robert Stumpf of Somerset; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and -nephews.

Visitation was held Feb. 7 at Oliverie Funeral Home, 2925 Ridgeway Road, Manchester. Funeral liturgy was held at St. John’s Church, Lakehurst, with a private interment at Brigadier General William C.
