Shafer Soars of Jackson has been named to the dean’s list for the 2014 fall semester at Illinois College, Jacksonville, Illinois.
Ashleigh Smith of Howell recently traveled with the Belmont University, Nashville, Tennessee, Service Corps, a student organization dedicated to providing student experiences in the music and entertainment industries, to this year’s Grammy Week in Los Angeles. While there, participating students had the opportunity to take part in a variety of hands-on industry experiences. Smith and 21 other students participated as an escort for the MusiCares Gala on the red carpet.
Lyle German of New Egypt worked with 19 other Lebanon Valley College, Annville, Pennsylvania, students and staff to help families obtain affordable housing during spring break by working with Habitat for Humanity in Raleigh, N.C. German, a graduate of New Egypt High School, is pursuing a bachelor of arts in sociology and business administration.
