Coldwell Banker Cares Day to benefit local communities

All 55 Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage offices in New Jersey and Rockland County, N.Y. will be giving back to local communities throughout both states and in Middlesex County via charitable efforts as part of the third annual Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares Day event. Each office has selected a Cares Day project, with most of them taking place April 16-18. Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares is the real estate company’s philanthropic arm.

Affiliated sales associates and staff with the following Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage offices in Middlesex County will be supporting their communities by volunteering for the following activities:

East Brunswick: For the third consecutive year, on April 16, the office will landscape and refresh plantings at the front entrance of the township’s Crystal Springs Family Aquatic Center. In 2013, the office was presented with a Proclamation of Good Deeds for this project. Metuchen/Edison: On April 17, the office will once again volunteer at the Lakeview School of the Cerebral Palsy Association of Middlesex County. The office will spend time with students and assist the teachers, as well as helping the school with tasks such as washing busses, painting and cleaning. The Lakeview School provides one of the largest day programs for children with disabilities in the nation, serving 180 students from 12 New Jersey counties.

South Brunswick: On April 16 from 10 a.m. to noon, the office will return to Veterans’ Park on Beekman Road for a spring clean-up day. Volunteers will prepare and plant garden beds.

During the second annual Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares Day event in 2014, 846 sales associates volunteered a combined total of 3,341 hours to support 64 different organizations and causes. Sales associates also collected $9,000 worth of food, $1,500 in pet supplies and $8,400 in other goods, as well as collecting $22,775 for charitable causes.

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares contributed more than $150,000 to 33 charitable organizations in New Jersey and New York during 2014. This represented a more than 1,000 percent increase in donations over the previous year, with more than twice as many charities assisted. Since its inception in 2005, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Cares has given more than $1 million to charities supporting local communities, along with countless volunteer hours donated by affiliated sales associates, managers and staff.
