Janet J. Josher

Janet J. Josher, 61, of Cushing, Maine, formerly of Avenel, New Jersey, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side at Pen Bay Medical Center, Rockport, Maine, on March 26, 2015. Janet was born on Dec. 29, 1953, in Avenel, to parents Salvatore and Dorothy Sasso Buzzaro.

Janet attended The School of Environmental and Biological Sciences of Cook College at Rutgers University, New Brunswick. Her degree led her to the EPA, where she worked for 10 years, as well as a time for Union Carbide. Janet met her soul mate, Steve Josher, and they married on Sept. 21, 1987.

Left to cherish her memory along with her husband, Steve, are her sons, Michael Cullinane of England; and Cody Josher of Virginia; as well as a daughter, Elizabeth Cullinane of New Jersey. She also leaves her two precious grandchildren, Julia O’Donnell of New Jersey and Samuel Cullinane of England.

Family was most important to Janet, and it was evident by the love she showed to her husband, children and grandchildren. She excelled in cooking fine Italian meals. She also loved gardening, growing her own vegetables and reading great mysteries. She had a soft spot for all animals, especially dogs, horses and birds; she just enjoyed what nature had to offer. Janet loved to travel and had fond memories of her trips to Ireland, as well as to Italy.

It was Janet’s wish that no services be held for her. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to a charity of one’s choice. Light a candle for Janet.
