 The Plumsted Library will present “New Jersey Animals, Conservation and You” in honor of Earth Day at 3:30 p.m. April 22. A naturalist from Cattus Island Park will bring some native New Jersey animals and discuss the importance of conservation.  The Monmouth County Health Department and Howell Township will hold a health fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 18 at Howell PAL (Southard School), 115 Kent Road, Howell. The fair will provide free screenings for vision, hearing, cholesterol, diabetes, blood pressure, osteoporosis and lead exposure.  Kira Shcherbakova will perform at the DeBows United Methodist Church on April 26 at the 9 a.m. contemporary service and at the 11 a.m. worship service. Kira is an accomplished Christian songwriter and singer. She will deliver the message “Be Still.” The church is at the intersection of Route 571 and Route 537, Jackson. All are welcome to attend.  Farmingdale Public School, 49 Academy St., Farmingdale, will hold a history fair in the gymnasium during the afternoon of April 23. Middle school students will portray historical figures, including costumes and props.

 Jackson’s “Meet the Mayor” with Mayor Michael Reina will take place at 7 p.m. April 27 in the main meeting room at the municipal building, 95 W. Veterans Highway, Jackson. These sessions will be open to the public.
