Rutgers Day

Rutgers Day will welcome new additions this year, including a parade along College Avenue, displays about Rutgers’ participation in the Big Ten conference and health sciences programming on Busch Campus.

The event is set for 10 a.m.-4 p.m. April 25, with programming taking place on the Busch, College Avenue and Cook/Douglass campuses in New Brunswick and Piscataway.

Visitors can use the new Rutgers Day mobile app to plan their day and direct them when they arrive on campus.

Ag Field Day, N.J. Folk Festival, Zimmerli Family Day and the Engineering Open House are perennial favorites.

The College Avenue campus will celebrate the arts and humanities with activities for children, including puppet shows, storytelling and crafts.

Busch Campus welcomes science enthusiasts with interactive demonstrations.

Racing enthusiasts can also check out a solar gocart; the Rutgers Explorer bus; and a race car designed, engineered and manufactured by Rutgers students.

The Douglass and Cook campuses host Ag Field Day and the 41st annual N.J. Folk Festival.

Ag Field Day attractions include farm animals, environmental displays, demonstrations, food vendors, crafts and artisans, plants, flower sales, face painting and activity tables.

The N.J. Folk Festival runs 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and focuses primarily on traditional multicultural folk forms and artists residing in and around New Jersey.

Rutgers Day will take place rain or shine.

Admission and parking are free.

Shuttles will be available to carry festivalgoers between the New Brunswick and Piscataway campuses.
