Tim Howard to kick off Tourette campaign

International soccer superstar Tim Howard will kick off a yearlong Tourette syndrome awareness campaign on June 4 at Rutgers University’s soccer stadium on the Busch campus.

Howard, the standout goalkeeper who hails from North Brunswick, will speak about soccer, the World Cup and life with Tourette syndrome.

Children under age 17 can register for a soccer clinic with the Rutgers University men’s soccer team at 3 p.m.

Howard will speak around 4:15 p.m.

Attendees should arrive at the stadium by 2:30 p.m. with their preprinted registration tickets.

A donation of $10 per person is required to attend. Proceeds benefit the Tim Howard Leadership Academy, a part of the New Jersey Center for Tourette Syndrome and Associated Disorders. Visit www.njcts.org to register.
