MAJORS:
The Mets took an 18-10 win over the Phillies behind big hits from Jerome Swindel and Colee Garrow. Tom Belsky stole numerous bases for the Phils.
The Yankees took an 8-6 win over the Orioles as Jake Loughery had a two-run double. Dhruv Indelicato had a double and two-run triple for the O’s.
The Orioles edged the Phillies, 6-5, scoring two runs in the bottom of the fifth. Jared Greenzang had an RBI and run scored for the winners, while Nick Taglareni had a two-run single and run scored for the Phils.
The A’s rallied from a 2-0 deficit for a 12-2 win over the Phillies. Jeffry Hobson pitched well for the A’s and also had a double and run scored. Chris DelVecchio had an RBI single, Elliot Block had a hit and Dylan Morris pitched a clean last inning to seal it for the A’s. The A’s Joseph Latitus robbed Tommy Belsky of a hit with a diving catch.
The Red Sox topped the Mets, 10-5, as hits by Paul Myers and CJ Szafranski drove in four second-inning runs to break it open. Jay Swindell had a hit and stole home, and scored three runs for the Mets.
BABE RUTH:
Destination Athlete played ReMax to an 8-8 tie as Anthony Yaron had two hits and a walk. ReMax had five extra base hits.
Special Pizza City nipped St. John’s Chimney Sweep, 5-4, behind Colin Gasman (2-for-3) and Luke Blair (3-for-4). Kevin Flayhire pitched for Special Pizza City. Drew Brodine went 2 for 2 for St. John’s.
St. John Chimney Sweeps took a 16-6 win over Colavita Jewelers as Drew Brodine went 3-for-3 with two doubles, a single, three runs scored and three RBI. Brodine also pitched a scoreless inning. For Colavita, Marc Porpora was 2-for-2 with two singles and a walk.
Aztec Graphics won 13-7 so over Destination Athlete as Andy Blake went 4-for-5 with two singles, a double, two runs scored and two RBI. Max Brass pitched seven innings with six strikeouts. For Destination Athlete, Anthony Yarson went 2-for-2 with a double, single, run scored and walk.
Kiwanis took a 6-4 win over Peddler’s Village as Sam Margulis had two hits and a walk. Kenny Tagliareni pitched a strong 5.1 innings for the Villagers.
ReMax topped Special Pizza City, 8-7, as Eddie Chmara had a hit and two walks. Luke Blair kept Special Pizza City in it with two hits.
