CAMPUS CORNER: College students make dean’s list

Shannon McCarthy has been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at the University of Vermont, located in Burlington.
Shannon, a senior from Hillsborough, is an elementary education K-6 major.
Dean’s list students must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class.
Hillsborough residents were among those cited for attaining the dean’s list for the spring semester at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa. Students must earn a scholastic average of 3.6 or better while carrying at least 12 hours of courses.
The Hillsborough students are Nadja Delgado, Alexander Glass-Hardenbergh, Allison Kent, David Pulsifer, Andres Salcedo and Megan Schappert.
Two Hillsborough students made the dean’s list at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va., for the spring semester. They are Zachary Rich and Kelly Wishard. Both are juniors majoring in nursing and on track for a bachelor of science degree in nursing.
Christina Patella of Hillsborough, a dual major in mathematics and education, has been named to the dean’s list at Stockton University by earning a 4.0 grade-point average during the spring semester. During the 2014-2015 school year, Christina was also inducted in Alpha Lambda Delta, a freshman national academic honor society.
Benjamin M. Seitz of Hillsborough earned a place on the fall semester dean’s list at Binghamton (N.Y.) University. Students must achieve a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher.
Two Hillsborough students made the president’s list for the spring semester at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va.
The two are Alexis Cavallo and Emily Mirabella. Alexis is a senior who is majoring in health services administration for a bachelor’s degree. Emily is a senior majoring in interdisciplinary liberal studies for a bachelor’s degree.
