This spring, “pirates” will invade the New Jersey Renaissance Faire, vying for the services of future hero of England, Francis Drake.
A cast of 80 colorful characters will grace the streets and stages of this year’s event, to be held 10 a.m.-6 p.m. June 6-7 in Bordentown, rain or shine.
Returning cast member and Quest Paladin Jasmine Kyle will perform with singing group Chaste Treasure, and Paladin Christian Sochor plays the role of pirate Calico Jack.
Other returning favorites will join the event, including the noble Duchess of Northumberland, who is played by local actress Katie Horahan of New Egypt. Also from New Egypt, director TJ Miller will be returning as entertainment coordinator and show director, also overseeing the hit comedy sword-fighting show, “The Lords of Adventure.”
As educating both the public and performers is a primary goal of the New Jersey Renaissance Faire, artists can practice their skills in a variety of classes.
New Jersey Renaissance Faire is held at Liberty Lake, 1195 Florence-Columbus Road, in Bordentown.
