Mary Warshauer of Rumson has been named third vice president of the National Garden Club Inc. (NGC), the largest volunteer gardening organization in the world.
As third vice president for the next two years, Warshauer will chair several NGC national programs, including the Organization Study Committee and the Award of Excellence initiative to recognize outstanding non-member individuals and organizations that advance NGC causes. In addition, she will work to advance NGC’s missions.
Warshauer has held a variety of positions at NGC on the national level, including serving as chairwoman of the Blue Star Memorial program and Water Quality and Conservation Committee. As an NGC executive committee member, she represented the organization’s Central Atlantic Region, where she served as regional director on the Scholarship Committee. In addition, she was president of the Garden Club of New Jersey Inc. from 2009-2011. She also served in a number of roles in the Central Atlantic Region and has been a member of the Garden Club of Fair Haven for nearly 20 years.
