CRANBURY: Women helping women

CRANBURY — The Woman’s Club of Cranbury values a commitment to education.
The club now offers a scholarship for a woman pursuing post-secondary education after a break from education; it helps her achieve an educational goal and make a difference in her life. The scholarship is open to women living in Mercer and Middlesex counties.
The Woman’s Scholarship Committee has worked especially hard this year, in its first year of this scholarship, identifying the requirements for this scholarship and refining the process. It has taken several meetings and much discussion.
After reviewing many candidates, the club has selected Estafania Granada-Gonzales from East Windsor. She is 26 years old and a single parent and is now in the final semester of her studies to receive an associate degree in nursing. She plans to be finished with her studies at Mercer County College by the end of the year.
This $2,000 scholarship will make a big difference in her life.
