IFC will premiere its six-part comedy miniseries, “The Spoils Before Dying,” Wednesday, July 8, Thursday, July 9 and Friday, July 10 at 9 p.m.. Written by Will Ferrell, the six half-hour episodes depict a pulp-noir murder mystery set in the seedy underbelly of Los Angeles’ 1950s jazz scene. In the premiere episode, the cops are hot to convict jazz pianist Rock Banyon (Michael Kenneth Williams) for the murder of his lover and fellow musician, Fresno Foxglove (Maya Rudolph). With 72-hours to clear his name or fry in the electric chair, episode two follows Rock as he flees to Mexico reuniting with his one-time big band singer, Delores DeWinter (Kristen Wiig).
Summer fun is coming to OWN with the premiere of the new Evelyn Lozada docuseries “Livin’ Lozada” on Saturday, July 11 at 9 p.m., followed by the return of the popular OWN docu-series “Flex & Shanice” at 10 PM ET/PT. The new series follows the lives of Evelyn Lozada of “Basketball Wives” fame and her 21-year old daughter, Shaniece. Moving on from her highly publicized divorce, Evelyn is engaged to major league baseball star Carl Crawford. Between family, setting up her new home in Los Angeles and working on a sequel book deal, Evelyn has a lot going on.
Leah Remini and her large, loud and loving family return to TLC for an all-new season of “Leah Remini: It’s All Relative,” debuting on Wednesday, July 15 at 9 p.m. Through the fourteen new episodes, viewers catch up with Leah and her family/extended family. In the first episode, the family supports the daughter’s nanny, Trish, as she bravely battles breast cancer. The new season also features Leah’s husband, Angelo, attempting to create a commercial for the family restaurant and Leah’s mother, Vicki, plotting to skydive.
