HILLSBOROUGH: Police say trailer, scrap metal worth $10,205 is taken

A contractor reported June 26 that a trailer filled with scrap metal had been stolen overnight from a parking lot on Farm Road. The value of the trailer and its contents was put at $10,205, police said.
In other incidents reported by police:
— A Dewitt Lane resident reported June 26 that someone had entered their vehicle overnight and stolen an electronic tablet valued at $300.
— Joseph Frusco, 18, and Tal Fussman, 19, both of Hillsborough, were charged with possession of marijuana while officers were investigating a suspicious vehicle complaint on Murray Drive on June 12.
Both were also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. They were released and given a date to come to municipal court.
— Charutt Patel, 48, of Piscataway was charged with driving under the influence after his vehicle was stopped by police on Raider Boulevard on June 6.
He was also charged with having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, refusal to submit to chemical testing, having an expired driver’s license, consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle, failure to wear a seatbelt and driving while his license was suspended.
He was released pending a municipal court appearance, police said.
