PRINCETON: Suveillance tapes made public lead to arrest of two charged with shoplifting

The Princeton Police Department’s decision to release Smith’s Ace Hardware store surveillance camera tapes to the media led to the arrest of two people who stole items from the business at the Princeton Shopping Center, according to police.
Anthony Greco, 27, of Hopewell, was charged with shoplifting for taking a Bodum drip coffee maker, valued at $24.99, from the store on June 10. He turned himself in to police at 5:40 p.m. June 27 after his image was captured on camera and released to the media on June 25.
The second person, 78-year-old Shirley Ebel-Meeker of Moran Avenue, was charged with shoplifting for taking a Thermos container valued at $19.99 from the store on June 13. She turned herself in to police at 11 p.m. July 9 after her image was captured on camera and released to the media on June 25. 
