The North Brunswick Library is offering free tutoring in math and reading to students in grades K-5 to help them avoid the “summer slide,” when students forget what they learned during the previous school year.
Each session lasts a half hour and is being offered 4-8 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and 4-6 p.m. Tuesdays.
Children are currently limited to one session per week. Parents must stay in the building while their child is working with the tutor.
Call 732-246-3545 starting at 10 a.m. Mondays for the best selection of time slots.
The service is free and is offered in partnership with DeVry University.
The program, although designed to avoid the summer slide, will be available year-round for homework assistance in reading and math.
