PRINCETON: Mount Lucas Road water service to be installed this week

A contractor working for New Jersey American Water Co. will begin fire hydrant installation and house connections on Mount Lucas Road in Princeton this week.
According to a notice from municipal construction engineer Alina Ferreira, CRJ Construction will be installing new house water service on Mount Lucas between Cherry Hill Road and Laurel Road beginning Monday and continuing through the week.
The switchover will be house by house and require shutting off the water for about 15 minutes per house, according to the statement. Switchovers will be done between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. The contractor will notify each household once the switchover has been made.
Mount Lucas Road will be closed to through traffic from 7 a.m. to about 5 p.m. each day. When work is being done on Mount Lucas at Laurel Road, Laurel will be closed through to Jefferson Road.
Once the water contractor has completed its work, Top Line Construction will return to complete the roadway repair work, according to the statement.
