PRINCETON: Police uncertain that alleged sex assault actually happened

By Philip Sean Curran, Staff Writer
Police said Monday that they cannot be certain an alleged sexual assault near the Princeton University campus happened, with the female victim not cooperating and dealing with unspecified “medical issues.”
On Friday police said that a victim was “reportedly” followed and assaulted by an unidentified man between 10 a.m. Thursday and 3 a.m. on Nassau Street near Witherspoon Street. But police Sgt. Steven Riccitello said Monday that the woman would not speak to police or provide details.
An investigation is pending.
