Families pitched tents on the baseball field in Ann Van Middlesworth Park under warm and clear skies Friday for the annual campout night sponsored by the township. Activities include fishing, kickball games, a night hike, and, of course, a campfire. Families received dinner of pizza and sub sandwiches and breakfast of bagels and doughnuts.
The David L. Thomas Memorial Fishing Derby crowned Amanda Bizarro,11, and Jessica LaNoce, 10, as the top winners. Children ages 14 and younger cast lines in the park’s pond to try to catch the biggest fish.
