PRINCETON POLICE BLOTTER: Aug. 20

Edward Conover, 45, of Plainsboro Township, was arrested on an outstanding $250 warrant from Princeton Municipal Court at 9 a.m. Aug. 13 at the Princeton Police Department headquarters after being turned over by the Plainsboro Police Department. 

Tameka Johnson, 30, of Trenton, was arrested on an outstanding $500 warrant from Bordentown City Municipal Court at 1:50 p.m. Aug. 11 following a motor vehicle stop on South Harrison Street. 

A vandal spray-painted over the stop sign on the south sidewalk on Hullfish Street at Witherspoon Street overnight between Aug. 12 and Aug. 13. The vandalism was reported at 2:18 p.m. Aug. 13. 

Someone sprayed silly string on the stop sign on Spring Street at Vandeventer Avenue and on a car parked nearby. The incident was reported at 8:15 a.m. Aug. 13. There was no reported permanent damage. 

A Samsung Galaxy Note 4 cell phone belonging to a Trenton resident was reported stolen Aug. 15 between 11 p.m. and 11:45 p.m. Police said the victim had accidentally left at the parklet in front of 14 Witherspoon St. It is valued at $999. 

Rebecca Trewin, 33, of Flemington, was arrested for possession of a stolen South Carolina license plate at 9:04 p.m. Aug. 16 during a motor vehicle stop on Stockton Street. 

A Lawrence Township resident reported the theft of her wallet, containing cash and credit cards, from her purse sometime between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. Aug. 15 while she was at Panera Bread on Nassau Street. The thief reached into the victim’s purse that was hanging on the back of her chair and stole the wallet. 
