The winner of a 50/50 raffle ticket pulled at the Hillsborough Rotary Fair has been located.
Rotarians say the winning ticket will deliver $5,930. The Rotary Club Foundation will make a similar amount.
Rotary Club President John Shockley said Friday he talked by telephone with the winner and he is on vacation. When he returns, the club will meet and confirm, he said, and the winner will be invited to a club meeting to receive the check.
The ticket is from the $10 “Giant Raffle“ ticket drawn on Aug. 15. The raffle ticket required a name, address and phone number on the stub. The club reached out to the name, address and phone number on the ticket and heard back this week.
The ticket was sold at Central Jersey Nurseries.
On a smaller scale, one 50/50 ticket in a raffle pulled Aug. 14 in a twice-a-night drawing is still unclaimed. The daily 50/50 winning numbers were posted at the Rotary tent each night, but no one came forward to claim one of the two winning numbers.
The winning ticket number is 7230957 and the amount is $160 — also one week to claim the winnings. If unclaimed, the money goes to the Rotary Foundation.
Both winning numbers were posted to the club website with a message to the claim winnings within a week.
