The Metuchen Recreation Commission will conduct their Annual Fishing Derby starting at 9 a.m. on Aug. 29, at Thomas Pond (Tommy’s Pond), Lake Ave., Metuchen.
The cost is $1 per child and an adult must accompany all children. Trophies will be awarded in several categories. Participants must bring their fishing poles and bait. Preregistration is not required.
