Sept. 25 fashion show being planned by PTSA

MILLSTONE — The Millstone Township Middle School PTSA is preparing to host a “Masquerade Fashion Show” fundraiser at 6:45 p.m. Sept. 25 at the middle school, Dawson Court.

Tickets are $14.50 per adult and $9.50 per child.

PTSA Co-President Michele Stillwell said, “Enjoy a night watching your child walk the runway!”

Stillwell is co-chairing the event with BarbaraAnn Noon.

The models in the fashion show will be pupils from the Millstone Township K-8 School District, according to Stillwell.

The PTSA has partnered with stores in the Freehold Raceway Mall, Freehold Township, so children may borrow clothing for the evening show, Stillwell said. Pupils may also model outfits from their own wardrobe.

Local restaurants will be supplying the hors d’ oeuvres and dessert. There will be raffle baskets and a 50/50 raffle.

Stillwell said there are a range of sponsorships from $500 to $2,500.

ShopRite has signed on to be the Haute Couture Event Sponsor. Additional sponsorships include the Couture Sponsor, the In Vogue Sponsor, the Trendsetter Sponsor and a general family sponsorship.

The PTSA is a nonprofit group of parents, educators and community members who work together to support the middle school and offer educational opportunities for students.

“We depend on fundraisers to provide the extras that mean so much to our children.” Stillwell said. “100 percent of the proceeds from this event will go directly to the students to provide items that enrich and support our students’ educational experience.”

Organizers of the fashion show would welcome auction item donations such as gift certificates and gift baskets. Participating companies will be recognized in the event program, Stillwell said.
