PRINCETON: Small haz-mat spill forces two-hour evacuation of university lab

A spill involving a small amount of a hazardous substance resulted in the evacuation of Frick Chemistry Laboratory for two hours Tuesday night, Princeton University officials said.
The hazardous material was spilled on the floor of a third-floor laboratory at 7:20 p.m., according to a statement released by Princeton University’s Office of Communications. No one was injured.
The Princeton Fire Department, the Trenton Fire Department’s hazardous materials unit and Princeton University’s Department of Public Safety responded to the call.
The building was re-opened about 9:20 p.m., and 20 people resumed work in the building, the statement said.
