The Asbury Park Oyster Festival will close out summer with nonstop fun, live music and great food: 5-10 p.m. Sept. 11, noon to 10 p.m. Sept. 12 and noon to 6 p.m. Sept. 13.

The three-day festival takes place in the shadow of the historic Carousel building and features more than 70 arts and crafts vendors, an oyster-eating contest, rides and entertainment for children, and music. Visit the New Jersey Hall of Fame mobile museum at no additional cost.

Oysters, seafood and traditional fare are available from more than 25 vendors, including Tiger’s Tale, Gaetano’s, Brandl, Bistro at Red Bank, Pucker, Ike’s Crab Cakes, Coney Waffles, Crave Cajun, Fantastic Thai Cuisine, Kim Marie’s, Station One Seafood, Tony’s Italian Sausage, The Empanada Guy, and G&L Gyro. Craft beer, wine and fun soft drinks are available throughout the festival.

Oysterfest is dog-friendly. A special bicycle parking area is available on the festival grounds.

Admission is free on Friday. The cost is $3 on Saturday and Sunday. Children 12 and younger are free. A portion of the entry fee supports the Asbury Park toy drive. For more information, visit www.asburyparkchamber.com.
