Burglaries continue to unlocked vehicles

SOUTH BRUNSWICK — Just about one week after North Brunswick Police urged residents to lock their vehicle doors because the town was experiencing a rash of car burglaries, South Brunswick Police have issued the same warning.

Six vehicle burglaries took place between 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 1 and 8 a.m. on Sept. 2 in the area of Cardinal Court, Raleigh Road and Hastings Road in South Brunswick, according to police.

In all cases, the suspect gained entry by opening unlocked doors to the vehicles, police said. Cash and electronic devices were stolen from some of the vehicles.

Police are reminding residents to lock all vehicle doors and remove any valuable items.

Police have recovered evidence from the scenes. The investigations are ongoing. Anyone with information should call South Brunswick Police at 732-329- 4646.
