The Rutgers Film Co-op/New Jersey Media Arts Center, in association with the Rutgers University Program In Cinema Studies, present the New Jersey Film Festival Fall 2015. Showcasing new international films, American independent features, experimental and short subjects, classic revivals, and cutting-edge documentaries, the festival will feature more than 30 film screenings.
The 25 finalists were selected from over 289 works submitted by filmmakers from around the world. Prize winners will be announced following the screenings on Oct. 9.
Some of the film premieres include: Patrik Eriksson’s film “The Cart;” Brigitta Wagner’s “Rosehill;” Serena Dykman’s “Welcome;” Jordan Horowitz and Frank Ferendo’s “Angel of Nanjing;” Lisa Alonso Vear’s “Foster Dog;” Chris Fetchko and Marina Donahue’s “All in Time,” David Jansen and Sophie Biesenbach’s “Däwit,” Jeremy Waltman and Adam Lucas’s “It Plays Like Love;” Nick Spark’s “Right Footed; ” Reuben Meltzer’s “The Moment: Bonnaroo;” Maria Soccor’s “Lords of BSV,;” Gerald Perry’s “Archie’s Betty” and others.
The festival will feature more than 20 special guest appearances by film directors, producers and actors. All visiting directors will introduce their work and hold a question-and-answer session following the screenings.
Screenings will take place on the College Avenue campus of Rutgers University, Voorhees Hall No. 105, 71 Hamilton St., New Brunswick. Tickets are $10 for adults and $9 for students and seniors.
