The Family Practice of CentraState was recently awarded the 2014 United- Healthcare PATH Excellence in Patient Service Award by UnitedHealthcare for expanding service to Medicare Advantage members. The PATH program was developed by UnitedHealthcare to help improve outcomes for its Medicare Advantage members by encouraging greater use of preventive healthcare services. The PATH Excellence in Patient Service Award is based on clinical results that measure how successfully physician practices have closed gaps in patient care.

Greater Media radio stations 95.9 WRAT-FM and 100.1 WJRZ-FM will offer a free workshop to businesses to explain how traditional media, social media, mobile technology and Internet marketing can all work together to advance business productivity and profits. On Aug. 11, local restaurateurs marking their newest addition to the Great Restaurant family, Tre Pizza Pasta and Beer Garden, held a ribbon cutting ceremony. Franchised auto retailers throughout New Jersey are partnering with the Valerie Fund to raise money for thousands of children who have cancer and blood disorders. The New Jersey Auto Retailers Unite campaign will highlight the work auto retailers do in communities across the state.

Freehold Ford, Mercedes-Benz of Freehold, Volkswagen of Freehold, Ray Catena of Freehold and DCH Auto Group have committed to participate in the campaign that will run through Oct. 31.

The dealerships will donate $5 to the Valerie Fund for every car sold. The Valerie Fund has supported comprehensive healthcare services for children with cancer and blood disorders since 1976.
