 The Freehold Borough Recreation Commission will sponsor its annual borough wide yard sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sept. 26. The rain date is Sept. 27. Maps will be available to identify each yard sale location, in addition to a list of items being offered for sale. No permit is required for this free event.

 The Freehold Art Society will hold “Create A Still Life” at 7 p.m. Sept. 30 at the Monmouth County Library Headquarters, Manalapan. A still life will be set up and participants are invited to draw or paint using their own materials. Beginning artists are welcome. This event is free and open to the public.  The Perrineville Jewish Center, Millstone Township, will host a campaign aimed at teaching North American Jews to read Hebrew. “Read Hebrew Across America and Canada” is expected to reach 12,000 affiliated and unaffiliated Jews in the United States and Canada this year. The five-week program will be led by Hana Alter. No background in Hebrew is required. The first class will meet at 3 p.m. Oct. 11.
