PRINCETON: Bomb threat called into Riverside Elementary School

Princeton police responded to computerized telephone threat at 10:17 a.m. Thursday at Riverside Elementary School advising that a bomb had been placed in the school.
The threat, which was called into the main office, appears to be unfounded, according to a police department release.
Police officers, assisted by an explosives-sniffing K-9 dog, searched the school and found no bomb. The school was not evacuated, a joint decision between the school administration and the police department.
The call was similar in nature to other recent threats that have been received by Princeton schools and in other areas throughout the state and country.
Detective Ben Gering is investigating the incident.
