HILLSBOROUGH: Jeep reported taken from home’s driveway  

Hillsborough police reported two incidents of theft, including a Jeep taken from a private driveway — and two reports of damage in recent weeks.
Police said a Pioneer Drive resident reported Sept. 12 the theft of a 2015 Jeep Cherokee worth $30,000 from his driveway sometime overnight.
On Sept. 19, a Route 206 business reported the theft of 100 wooden pallets, from the rear of the store sometime overnight. The value was put at $400.
Police said a contractor working on Mountain View Road reported Sept. 10 that sometime had driven a tractor into a fence, to the tune of $300 of damage, in the previous night.
A Route 206 business owner reported Sept. 13 that the front window of the business had been smashed sometime over the weekend. Damage was estimated at $1,000.
An employee of a Route 206 business reported Sept. 21 that while at work during the day someone had smashed the window of his vehicle and took some personal items, valued at $15. Estimate of damage to the window was $250.
Police also said Justin Lelo, 56, of Hillsborough was charged with driving under the influence and careless driving after the vehicle he was driving was involved in a motor vehicle in a parking lot on Amwell Road on Sept. 5. Blood-alcohol results are pending laboratory analysis, police said. He was released with a date to come to municipal court.
