DIVISION II GIRLS
EP Kuppeck Landscape Contractors Inc. took a 2-0 win over PQM Flower Shop. For PQM, Maddy Flory and Charlotte Barnes played well in goal, while Maeve Prosser, Hallie Carrick, Anastasia Angarone and Katherine Cudmore provided offensive pressure. Sonia Coppisetti, Adhya Pandit and Madeline Todd played strong midfield while Madison Trend and Barnes anchored the defense.
Kuppeck added a 2-0 win over ActivCore Physical Therapy as Olivia and Clara Mayer each scored goals. Emily Howe and Tierney Mullowney were strong in goal for ActivCore, while Sonia Tenbarge, Allison Howe and Kate Coyer held tight on defense.
The Purtuc Dental Jalapeños outlasted Franco’s Pizza, 2-0, in a well played game on Saturday. Bridget Holden made some big saves in goal and, with help from defenders Lilly Purtec and Lilla Antal, notched Purtuc’s fifth shutout. Ava Burns and Maura McGrath scored fourth-quarter goals. For Franco’s, Kirsten Southall and Rose Andreski both helped keep the game close, and Franco’s got continued great goaltending from Manvi Tripathi, Megan D’Alessandro and Katy Gray.
Purtuc Dental remained unbeaten Sunday with a 1-0 win over ActivCore. Lily Ryan got the game’s lone goal – again in the fourth quarter – off an assist from Maura McGrath. Julia Schwarz was unbeatable in goal, while Iris Lautermilch, Ava Burns and Caroline Ryan turned in impressive performances in midfield.
Trap Rock Industries took a 1-0 win over ActiveCore. For ActiveCore, Kate Coyer and Emily Howe were strong in goal, while Emily Fang, Kathryn Finn and Lindsay Kornbluth got the ball up the field well. Allison Howe, Camryn Kornbluth, Chloe LiVecchi and Tea Linthorst played strong defense, while Mia Govantes, Tierney Mullowney and Sonia Tenbarge played well.
Diana’s Epiphany got a goal from Sofia Swindell for a 1-0 win over PQM Flower Shop. Ava Courtney, Charlotte DeLorenzo and Josie Blankstein played strong games for the winners. For PQM, Hallie Carrick, Maddy Flory and Charlotte Barnes applied offensive pressure and Sophie Mandelbaum were tough on defense.
Diana’s Epiphany took a 4-1 win over Franco’s Pizza on two goals by Sofia Swindell and one each from Tessa Caputo and Ava Courtney. Jaelyn Krin played well in midfield. For Franco’s, Lucy Webster scored a goal and Lila Petropoulos played her best game of the season in goal and on defense. In a 4-0 loss to Franco’s Pizza a week earlier, ActivCore got strong defense from Emily Fang and Mia Govantes, while Tierney Mullowney and Kathryn Finn had some nice saves in goal and Emily Howe and Tea Linthorst made some nice offensive runs.
DIVISION III GIRLS
Katie Kent notched a hat trick, including her third goal with just three seconds left to play, to give DeSimone Neon Green a 6-6 tie with Dahlia’s Flowers. Grace Hoedemaker scored twice for DeSimone, while Peyton Turoto had a goal. Lily Gaglio, Naomi Dede and Samhita Chunduru helped set up the goals, while Naomi Dede, Turoto and Hoedemaker spent time in goal. Caroline LeTrent, Celeste Huang and Bella Gaglio played well in goal. Dahlia fell behind 3-0 but rallied for the lead on three goals by Carly Brant, and one each from Beth Hooks, Emma Coyer and Chelsea Kent. Emily Wessler had three assists. Sierra Mitchell and Faith Doldy led the Dahlia midfielders while Annie Stocks and Piper Brant played well in front of goalies Kent, Wessler and Carly Brant.
Dahlia Florals opened the weekend with a 6-2 win over Millstone as the Pink Flamingoes got three goals from Beth Hooks, two from Carly Brant and one from Emma Coyer. Emily Wessler had an assist, while the midfield was controlled by Sophia DiDonato. Chelsea Kent and Sierra Mitchell. Solid defense came from Mariel Haynes, Faith Doldy and Piper Brant, while Wessler, DiDonato and Carly Brant held down the goal.
DIVISION II BOYS
Princeton Nassau Pediatrics got fourth-quarter goals from Youti Wan, Jeffrey Blake (from Aaron Nulman) and Kai Sugrue in a 3-1 win over Mid-State Equipment. Kyle Ingersoll’s goal gave Mid-State a 1-0 lead. PNP got strong defensive efforts from Liam Ryan, Andrew Nalbone, Matthew Nguyen, Adam Russell and Joshua Rheinhardt, along with consistent midfield play from Nolan Muscente, Mario Radzicki and Tyler Ananian.
Hopewell Express defeated Soccer Post & Tennis Net, 4-2, as Lucas Sweetman, Rich Kiefer, Colin Szustakowski and Joe Troiano each had goals. Jack Gabe had two assists and Emiliano Fernandez and Troiano had one each. Jason Laliwala made some big blocks on defense.
On Sunday, Hopewell Express took a 3-0 win over Investors Bank. Gabe and Fernandez each had goals and an own goal was also scored. Colin Szustakowski and Sweetman had assists, while Kiefer, Ryan Szustakowski and Luke Hemmer provided strong defensive play.
Playing with just eight players, PQM defeated Mid-State Equipment.
Brooks Landscaping defeated Dr. McDonough’s Live Wires, 4-0, getting two goals from AJ Yadamiec and one each from Adam Rise and Alphonse Azara. Aaron Parisi had an assist and played strong defense along with Jude Berman and Guiseppe Panzitta. The goaltending was held down by Berman, Rise, Azara and Ethan Peck, who preserved the shutout with some big fourth quarter saves.
Brooks took a 5-0 win over Soccer Post & Tennis Net. Aaron Parisi and AJ Yadamiec each had two goals and Jude Berman added one. Alphonse Azara had an assist, and the defense was anchored by Elijah Barnes and Eli Angarone with help from Jacob Brown and Carter Horvath. Ethan Peck, Azara, Berman and Adam all played in goal.
DIVISION III BOYS
Callaway Henderson/Sotheby took a 4-2 win over Robbinsville SA-2 as Mike Stroman scored two first-half goals, while Nils Gungor had two second-half goals and picked up an assist. Mike Stroman and Christian Barnes also had assists. Cutter Swanson played strong offensively, Jacob Orlando was a rock defensively with help from Finn Malloy and Fedia Tenbarge, Bharat Cherukuri was strong in goal and midfield along with Sathya Kummarapurugu.
Regent Floor Covering took a 6-1 win over Callaway Henderson/Sotheby Juan Carlos Perez led the way with three goals and two assists, Dan Polverejan had two goals and Chris Sawicki added a goal. Louis Azara had an assist, Kishore Chidambaram contributed some big offensive plays and goalies Emerson Hoagland and Hunter Boggess played a near-perfect game. Benjamin Veale, Samuel Roth, Saahith Kusupudi and Jonathan Sharma were strong defensively.
Brook’s Landscape Services defeated Jack’s Nursery and Landscaping 8-1. Eddie Keifer had the Jack’s goal.
Brooks Landscape took a 5-3 win over Union Line Garage. For Union Line, Dominic Chila had two goals and Mason Scall one. Finn Murray-Campbell had two assists and Derek Van Brunt added one. Teddy Franzino, Matthew Tunkel and Rowan John played strong defense, while Scall and Bradley Cohen were stellar in goal.
Regent Floor Covering defeated Jack’s Nursery Landscaping, 5-1, as Dan Polverejan had a goal and had four assists on two goals each by Louis Azara and Juan Carlos Perez. Azara also had an assist. Kishore Chidambaram and Alex Botero made key plays up front, Chris Sawicki controlled both ends of the field, Benjamin Veale, Samuel Roth, Saahith Kusupudi and Jonathan Sharma were tough on defense and Emerson Hoagland had the shutout in goal. Aaron Dandurnd scored for Jack’s off an assist from Joshua Parker.
