16th DISTRICT: Vella and Zwicker best candidates to represent Princeton

Jenny Crumiller and Jon Crumiller, Princeton
We urge Princeton Democrats to make a special effort to vote in the general election this year on Nov. 3. We have the opportunity to unseat our two Republican state Assembly representatives and replace them with two excellent Democratic candidates who are much better suited to represent the people of Princeton.
Maureen Vella and Andrew Zwicker are running to represent our Democratic values. Andrew Zwicker, a physicist, brings his experience of relying on evidence and data in making decisions. Maureen Vella, a former judge, looks at all sides of an issue before making a decision.
For those who doubt that party matters, just look at the voting records. Republicans Jack Ciattarelli and Donna Simon have a 100 percent voting record for Gov. Chris Christie’s anti-progressive agenda. They have supported Gov. Christie to cut women’s health funding, block corruption reform at the Port Authority, and reject property tax relief for struggling homeowners after Hurricane Sandy. Most tellingly, they both fell into line and supported Gov. Christie’s veto of common-sense gun legislation.
Andrew Zwicker and Maureen Vella have won our support. We hope fellow Princetonians will vote for them as well.
