MANVILLE: Phil Petrone honored at picnic (Senior Corner column)

By Geraldine Klimowich
A good time was had by all Manville senior citizens at the Oktoberfest at Colonial Park on Oct. 8. Excellent weather, good food and entertainment rounded out the day.
County Surrogate Frank Bruno presented Phil Petrone with a state proclamation on his retirement from his jobs as Manville Borough Clerk and Director of Public Works. Mr. Bruno was a guest and surprised everyone with the presentation, which praised Phil’s dedication and service to the community and county. It was a well-deserved recognition for Phil for all his caring and good work for the town. He will be missed.
