Resident gives an endorsement to Ginsberg

I am proud to say that as a lifelong resident of Manalapan, I endorse Rebecca Ginsberg for Township Committee in the Nov. 3 election. Throughout my life, I have seen a lot of changes in this great town. I remember Route 9 as a pleasure to drive on and when you could walk across it without seeing any cars.

I remember traffic always being on Tennent Road during Manalapan High School arrival and dismissal, but not as bad as it is now. I remember before we lost the lawsuits and you could drive down Millhurst Road, cross Route 33 and never have to stop for traffic or the light. Today, we always get the light and always sit behind traffic for at least six or seven changes of the light.

We need to have the traffic at Millhurst Road and Route 33 and Main Street-Tennent Road and Route 522 fixed immediately — not 10 years from now when the county and state find the money — now!

We have a developer willing to work with the town and commit $10 million to fix the mess the last lawsuits left us with.

Rebecca has said that when and if there is an application she will investigate, question and do her due diligence to make a decision based on what is best for 40,000 residents.

I don’t know how anyone who wants to be taken seriously for this position can just come out and say “no” to Manalapan Crossing without doing their due diligence. That is irresponsible. The person must follow the law. Saying “no” without reading reports and investigating all aspects sounds like the candidate is just looking for votes.

I believe Rebecca has proven herself to Manalapan as a hard worker, leader and motivated member of our town. I have constantly seen Rebecca hard at work all around town on a consistent basis.

She has worked very hard to bring the 5K path, dog park and splash park to the residents of our town without increasing taxes to pay for the projects. She was constantly at the park during construction of the facilities to make sure everything was built to spec.

I believe that in order to qualify to be part of our Township Committee, you must start at the bottom and earn your way to the top. How can you make decisions about this great town without knowing and seeing how it functions?

We need a candidate who can start accomplishing the job from Day 1. We need a candidate willing to put in 40 hours a week or more if needed. We need a candidate with the contacts already in place to move this town forward. We need Rebecca Ginsberg for Township Committee.
