HILLSBOROUGH: He’s impressed with Centofanti and supports her for re-election

The school board election doesn’t seem to get the attention of the residents of Hillsborough Township as it probably should. The school board has a challenging job of balancing conflicting goals: To provide for the best education of the youth in our town, while keeping the cost of education to a reasonable limit.
I personally take much interest in the election and hope that we maintain a board that addresses several of my concerns. I have a child in the school district and want him to have the best opportunity for a solid education to prepare him for life as well as his next level of education, college. I am also a homeowner and have real estate investments in the town. Therefore, it is important to have a good school district to keep property values high while also maintaining current property tax levels.
I would like to take this opportunity to support Deena Centofanti for the school board. I personally know Deena and can attest that she addresses all issues thoughtfully and fairly. When I have the opportunity, I enjoy discussing current school district topics with Deena. She often impresses me on how well she understands the issues and the true nature of the challenges. She understands the repercussions of a decision and just doesn’t make a decision because it sounds like the right thing to do, but makes a decision because she is comfortable that it will have the best outcome.
Having children in the school district herself, she is vested in having strong schools, yet I know she is fiscally responsible. She has done a great job in her first term on the board and I trust Deena will continue to represents the citizens of Hillsborough Township well in the future!
