An Evening Of Doo Wop & The Great American Songbook

Doo Wop fans and fans of the Great American Songbook can relive the performances of their favorite artists when rock ‘n’ roll legend John “Johnny T” Tarangelo takes the stage at the Middletown Arts Center.

“An Evening of Doo Wop & The Great American Songbook” will be presented Nov. 7, at the Middletown Arts Center (MAC), 36 Church St.

Tarangelo, a former member of The Mystics, will perform selections from his popular oldies review, “Voices of Legends In Concert.” Also performing will be the Cameos, a popular New Jersey oldies band. The Savoys with special emcee and host Johnny Mangia will round out the lineup.

Tributes will be made to Little Anthony & The Imperials, The Platters, The Moonglows, Dion, The Chimes, The Crests and The Duprees.

Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for general admission are $30 per person and can be purchased by calling 732-706-4100 or by visiting the MAC Box Office at 36 Church St.

A portion of the proceeds from the concert will be donated to the Middletown Township Cultural & Arts Council and will support community arts programming.
