CENTRAL JERSEY: Veterans Day events planned in local townships

Municipal officials and township residents in Montgomery, West Windsor and Plainsboro will take time on Veterans Day Wednesday to honor the soldiers, sailors and airmen and women who have fought in the many wars and engagements undertaken by the United States.
In Montgomery Township, a procession is planned for 3 p.m. from the corner of Devon Drive along Harlingen Road to the Montgomery Veterans Park on Harlingen Road. The Montgomery High School Marching Band, as well as volunteer firefighters, Boy Scout troops and the Montgomery Emergency Medical Services will march to the park for the ceremony, which will last about an hour.
In West Windsor Township, a ceremony is planned for 11:30 a.m. at the Dutch Neck World War II monument to honor World War II veterans. It will be followed by a ceremony at noon at the West Windsor Township Municipal Building.
In Plainsboro Township, a ceremony is planned for 10 a.m. at the Plainsboro Township Municipal Building. The ceremony will be held at the Veterans Memorial Park at the Municipal Building. 
