WEST WINDSOR POLICE BLOTTER: Nov. 11


Sahil R. Patel, 24, of West Windsor, was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia after he was stopped for speeding on Village Road at 3:25 a.m. Nov. 3. 

A 54-year-old West Windsor resident reported on Nov. 2 at 7:01 p.m. that someone tried to make an online purchase using his American Express card on Oct. 27, but it was denied. On Nov. 2, the victim received an email from Firstmark Services indicating that on Oct. 27, someone using his personal information opened an account in his name and that it had an account balance of $2,057. 

A 53-year-old Kendall Park woman told police someone stole her clutch purse from the child seat of a shopping cart at Walmart, which she had left unattended while she answered a cell phone call at 7:36 p.m. Nov. 2. The clutch purse and $3 was found in the parking lot outside the store, but three credit/debit cards and $21 in cash were missing. 

A 43-year-old Matthews, N.C., resident reported that someone tried to use a “cloned” credit card of his to make a fraudulent purchase at Dick’s Sporting Goods for $253.96 at 4:16 p.m. Nov. 1, but it was declined. A few minutes earlier, another fraudulent transaction for $974.68 was attempted at the Best Buy store. The victim still had the actual credit card in his possession. 

A 62-year-old West Windsor resident reported a lost Apple iPhone 5S, valued at $700, which he may have dropped while trick-or-treating in the area of Bear Brook Road and Meadow Road, or that he may have been left behind in an Uber cab. The incident occurred between Oct. 31 and 8:31 p.m. Nov. 1. 

Someone stole two locks with keys from a trailer belonging to a 53-year-old West Windsor resident that had been parked in the Benford Estates housing development between Oct. 29 and Oct. 30. Nothing was reported missing from the trailer. 

Rebekah J. Park, 19, of West Windsor, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a hypodermic syringe and obstruction of the administration of law and justice after police investigated a report of a suspicious person and car in the Canal Pointe development at 1:29 p.m. Oct. 30. 

Jessica R. Jusino, 34, of Trenton, was charged with shoplifting after she took items valued at $264.66 from Walmart at 2:24 p.m. Oct. 27. She fled the store on foot and was apprehended in the Yorkshire Meadows housing development. She was also found to have an outstanding warrant for $300 from the Jackson Township Municipal Court. 

A 68-year-old West Windsor resident reported that someone fraudulently opened a Capital One MasterCard and a US Bank charge card in her name between Oct. 21 and Oct. 23. Each line of credit was canceled by the victim. 
