Sutera, Moses Bruno elected to board

Three candidates who ran unopposed were elected to the Freehold Regional High School District Board of Education on Election Day, Nov. 3.

The board is made up of nine members from the district’s eight sending municipalities (two members are from Howell) and oversees the operation of the district’s six high schools, which enroll about 11,300 students.

Jennifer Sutera was re-elected as Manalapan’s representative to the board. Under the board’s voting guidelines, residents of Manalapan and Englishtown voted for Sutera.

Heshy Moses was re-elected as Freehold Borough’s representative to the board. Under the board’s voting guidelines, residents of Freehold Borough and Freehold Township voted for Moses.

In the run-up to the election, Moses, who is a former teacher and coach in the district, said this will be his final term on the board.

Peter Bruno was elected to his first term on the board as one of Howell’s two representatives. Under the board’s voting guidelines, residents of Howell and Farmingdale voted for Bruno, who is a former teacher and administrator in the district.

The terms that were won by Sutera, Moses and Bruno are for three years, beginning in January.
