FREEHOLD — Holiday shoppers will find unique items when they stop in at the Freehold Borough Arts Council’s (FBAC) third annual arts and crafts vendor show on Dec. 5.

The event will take place in the education building of the First Presbyterian Church of Freehold, 118 W. Main St., from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. There is ample parking and admission is free.

Arts council members are looking forward to presenting another year of fine artists and crafters selling their handmade items.

FBAC President Jeff Friedman said, “This is a terrific way to give back to local artists and highlight to the public what kind of fine talent we have locally. Shoppers will be able to find things they cannot find in big box stores.”

FBAC Vice President Brian Sullivan said, “We will have more than 30 vendors selling items which are handmade by the artists. It will be a fine collection of artists and crafters from the area, including many members of the Freehold Art Society.

“We strive to make this a very artistfriendly event. We do our best to keep costs down and quality up so the artists do well. We have many artists returning and some new ones as well. We are selective in who participates so there is variety in an event that is reflective of an arts council,” Sullivan said.

He thanked committee members Jilltrude Barba, Richard Berger and Lynn Reich for their efforts to make the arts and crafts vendor show a success.

Barba, who is a member of the Freehold Art Society, will bring some of her work to sell, as will other members of the society. Berger will also bring some of his work to sell.

“In addition to being a great place to pick up some unique handcrafted gifts, the event is also intended to showcase the area’s artists,” Sullivan said.

Paintings, photographs, handcrafted jewelry, handmade crafts, handcrafted silk items and handmade knitted items will be available for purchase.

Interested vendors may email the FBAC at [email protected] or call Brian Sullivan at 732-567-2884 for additional information.
